The Challenge

The latest campaign about Cisco security solutions that integrate seamlessly with third-party technology to deliver resilient, end-to-end protection to businesses, was expectedly a digital-first initiative with numerous digital placements in the media plan. In the absence of TVCs and large ATL formats, the client was looking for a striking and impactful execution of a static key visual they delivered to us, that would work across various digital display formats.

The Solution

Our team of digital designers and developers worked hand-in-hand building these eye-catching HTML5 banners within the 200KB weight limitation. Usage of video was not an option for any of the bookings because of the weight limit restrictions, so we had to find an innovative coding solution that would allow us to have a ‘video-like’ motion effect. We also had to think of design solutions to fit the creative with the moving coil into a variety of display banner sizes. Our very thorough QC process was even more extensive in this case to ensure that the code was compatible with all browsers and platforms. Since we were responsible for master builds, we developed them in the most efficient way to shorten localisation timings and delivering fully animated dynamic banners in 7 different languages.

The Result

Delivering a total of 653 digital assets in 7 languages across 9 markets, our work was praised by the client for some of the most technically creative banners ever within the technical limitations of standard display. By managing master development, we reduced the lead times and increased savings on localisation since the masters were built with local requirements in mind. This allowed Cisco to launch the campaign simultaneously in all their markets. We were able to speed up campaign delivery, produce high-impact standard banners that look like rich media, while being fully compatible for all users on all browsers.
